PDD Financial Assistance Program

The KC PMI Chapter offers two programs for individuals who are unable to attend Professional Development Days due to unemployment or other financial hardship. Must be a Chapter member in good standing to qualify.

Adversity Grant Program

Recipients will be granted admission for $50 and will be able to participate in all activities, training workshops, and meals. Full attendance will earn 13 PDUs. Up to five Adversity Grants will be awarded.

If an applicant can afford to pay $175 but not the full $425, that applicant should apply for the Hardship Scholarship.

Hardship Scholarship Program

Selection Criteria

Only chapter members in good standing with a proven hardship will be considered. Selections will be made in August from the pool of applicants. After the selections have been made, any remaining scholarships or grants will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Financial assistance recipients will be contacted via email with instructions on how to register. Applicants are expected to review and to abide by the PMI Code of Ethics. If the applicant's situation changes and paying full admission is possible, they should notify the VP of PDD by sending an email to vppdd@kcpmichapter.org to allow other deserving applicants an opportunity.

Volunteering for PDD

Recipients are expected to volunteer for three hours at PDD. We need help with stuffing attendee bags the night before the event from 5-7 pm, escorting speakers and sponsors during PDD and assisting attendees with our mobile app.
