Book Club

Project management is more than just carrying out principles from the Project Management Body of Knowledge.  Project management is also about building relationships, networks, a sense of community, and stretching professional horizons by seeking new information on all aspects of business and leadership.  A chapter book club builds on these aspects, emphasizes and augments existing chapter benefits.

Project managers often find themselves in a rush-communication mode at work leaving minimal time for professional enrichment.  A book club provides opportunity to both enrich our knowledge as well as provide a leisure/battery re-charge.

Book Club Structure

Each attendee claims their own PDUs (no sign-up sheet)
One PDU per hour reading / discussing
Multiple book groups may exist; i.e. different parts of town or different books being reviewed
Each group is autonomous and can be re-mixed depending on the book(s) being reviewed

PDU Reporting

PDUs are available under Category C: Self-Directed Learning.
