Information about member scholarships

The KC PMI Chapter awards two academic scholarships annually valued at US $2,000 each. Applications are open to all students who meet the criteria below.

Qualifications of candidates

  • Must be a member of the KC PMI Chapter or a direct family member of a chapter member (includes spouses, children, step-children, and grandchildren, but not cousins, aunts, and uncles, etc.)
  • Must be enrolled full-time or part-time in a degree-seeking program at an accredited, degree-granting college or university
  • Degree program may be for any college major (not just project management)
  • Must be pursuing an associate, undergraduate, graduate, or PhD degree (certificate programs do not qualify)


Application process

Applications from interested candidates must be received by the PMI Education Foundation (PMIEF) no later than May 1. Notification to awardees will be sent via email to each applicant in August. Candidates who have not received the award will also be notified via email. Upon award, scholarship funds will be distributed directly to the student. The PMIEF manages the application process and determines scholarship award winners - winners are not determined by the KC PMI Chapter.
