Course Overview:
This workshop will provide participants with an understanding of how PMI’s 6th edition PMBOK guide has changed.
Course Objectives:
1. Participants will gain an understanding of the following in the PMBOK 6th edition:
- New sections, chapters, concepts, and themes
- Themes / concepts that have been removed
- The new way ITTOs are represented
- Knowledge area changes
- Process level changes
- ITTO changes
Audience: This workshop is targeted toward current and future project managers and project team.
PDUs Earned: 3 PDUs (3 Technical)
Class Schedule: This is a 3-hour seminar that will be conducted on Thursday, August 23rd from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Presenter:
Lyn Heaton is the owner of Heaton Business Consultants, LLC, providing project management consulting and training. She has been providing Project Management training to corporations in the Kansas City area since 2008. She also teaches continuing education classes for the University of Missouri in Kansas City.
She is an active member of the Kansas City Chapter of PMI (Project Management Institute), previously serving on their board of directors as the VP of Professional Development. Lyn received her Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification in 2001 and holds a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
Lyn previously worked for 19+ years in the Telecommunications industry at Sprint Nextel. She held the positions of Project / Program Manager in various departments. During that time, she worked on many of their multi-million dollar projects in the Long Distance and Wireless divisions.
