Presenter: Dr. Lee C. Stuart
Activity Description and PMI Alignment: Leadership 100%
Course Overview:
Emotional Intelligence, or EQ, is an array of emotional and social competencies that determine how we relate to ourselves and others and how we deal with the demands and presence of our work and family lives. Unlike IQ, which is “hard-wired” and predominantly hereditary, EQ can be learned, developed, and enhanced. All of us are deficient in some domain of EQ, but we can work to improve.
Course Objectives:
Participants will gain knowledge on the following topics:
- The Global Leadership EI Test – Self Assessment Tool
- The 5 Domains of EQ (Self Awareness, Self-Regulation, Empathy, Motivation, Social Skills)
- Active Listening Skills
- Developing Emotional Boundaries
- An Attitude of Gratitude
Audience: This workshop is targeted toward current and future project managers and project team.
PDUs Earned: 8 PDUs (4 Leadership, 4 Strategy)
Class Schedule: An 8-hour seminar that will be conducted on Saturday, January 12th from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Presenter:
Dr. Lee C. Stuart brings experience in adult learning, disruptive innovation, organizational effectiveness, strategic business planning, and executive coaching. He possesses an unusual blend of creative and business thinking wrapped in years of experience as a writer, speaker, corporate executive, and as a consultant/coach to an array of organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in mass communications, a Master’s degree from the University of Kansas in journalism, and a Doctorate in Business Administration/Leadership Studies from Capella University.
