This is a condensed hands-on workshop. The two hours will be a mix of teaching and hands-on activity. 

Workshop Overview:

Leading and Sustaining Change is more than a crucial skill set for Project Managers – it is at the core of what we do every day. In this hands-on workshop, learn how you can reach the hearts and minds of your team members to create a vision, overcome resistance and increase the sustainable adoption of change.


  • Participants will gain knowledge on the following topics:
  • Importance of commitment to and ownership of change
  • Creation of vision
  • Introducing change into the workplace
  • Overcome resistance


Intended Audience: 

This workshop is targeted toward current and future project managers and project team members leading initiatives requiring change management.

Facilitator: Curtis Lewis, Owens Corning

Curtis Lewis is a native of Kansas City, Missouri, educated in the Kansas City MO Public Schools and graduated from East High School.  Curtis is an Alumni of The University of Central Missouri where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.  Curtis spent 18 career years in Sales with the following companies; Chess King Men’s Stores, RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company, Kraft Foods, and Citibank.  Curtis also spent 9 years with State Farm Insurance Company as a Claims Adjustor. Curtis is currently employed at Owens Corning Insulation where he has been the Logistics Manager for 13 years, he is also responsible for training front-line leaders at the Roofing, Asphalt, Insulation, and Composites Plants throughout the country. Curtis has facilitated over 100 training workshops during his career at Owens Corning.                          

He has been married for 14 years and he and his wife Kathy, have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. Curtis has been a volunteer coach for the Kansas City Keys Basketball organization for 25 years and currently coaches for the Raytown Sports Association.

Curtis is an Alumni member of the INROADS program which helps high school students in the Kansas City MO school district with college selection, interviewing, etiquette, and basic life skills as well as mentoring.

Most recently Curtis has volunteered at Melcher Elementary School by tutoring students in their classroom, discussing the importance of education and working with 6th grade boys on the transition to middle school.

          Finally, Curtis is a man of Faith and stands on his Christian beliefs!
