Financial Assistance

The PMI KC Mid America Chapter offers scholarships for individuals who are unable to attend Professional Development Days (PDD) due to unemployment or other financial hardship. Approved applicants will be granted FREE admission to PDD.

How to apply

Send an email to [email protected] and include the following information: 

  • PMI Membership ID
  • Name and address
  • Hardship description (e.g. unemployed, burdensome medical expenses, etc.)
  • Contact information of a person who can verify the hardship (e.g. manager, another PMI member, etc.)
  • If unemployed, provide the date of unemployment and the organization from which separated


Selection Criteria

Applicants must be PMI KC Chapter members in good standing with a proven hardship will be considered. Scholarship recipients will be notified by email with instructions on how to register. Applicants are expected to review and to abide by the PMI Code of Ethics. If the applicant's situation changes and paying full admission is possible, they should notify the Chapter by sending an email to [email protected] to allow other deserving applicants an opportunity.

Volunteering for PDD

Scholarship recipients are expected to volunteer for three hours at PDD. Upon being approved for financial assistance, the Chapter will work with them to identify volunteer opportunities.
